Stephen Curry’s HUGE Night

Last night the Warriors hosted the Cavaliers in a big game for both teams. Series tied 2-2 one team was gonna walk out with a big series lead on the backs, and the Warriors prevailed on a huge 4th quarter from Stephen Curry the NBA’s MVP. Lebron did have a monstrous game with 40 pts, 14 rebs, and 11 asts but the rest of his team not so much, Lebron being the only person to score over 20 points. Even though Lebron had a better game then Curry, he didnt when it mattered most. Curry showed us all why he is the MVP shooting 7-13 on 3’s and hitting 3 in the 4th quarter including an absolute bomb from deep that shot a dagger in the whole Cav’s team. Lebron and the Cav’s turned the ball over many times in the final minutes as Steph exploded for 17 points in the fourth to close the game up in crunch time.

NBA Finals Game 5

The next game in the NBA finals is at Oracle Arena where the Warriors will host the injury prone Cavaliers. Game 4 was a great feeling for the Warriors after losing both games 2 and 3 in games where the Warriors were not themselves.  Game 4 was a different story as the Warriors fought back behind MVP Stephen Curry and Andre Igudola both scoring 22. I expect to see the Warriors win again tomorrow and in a orderly fashion with out too much trouble.  The Cavaliers are a injured team who just don’t have the star power to keep up with the Warriors team. Lebron can only play 1 on 5 for so long,  he is worn out. After his 123 point explosion in the first three games he only put up 20 in a game he was not as aggresive. I see this series going 7

Hawks vs. Nets GAME 4!!

Tonight Atlanta hosts the Brooklyn Nets in a game 4 match up in Barclay’s Arena.  The series is 2-1 Atlanta as the Hawks are looking to go up 3-1 and head back home and finish things up in game 5. Tonight for Brooklyn to have a shot at upsetting Atlanta this is a must win game, as going on the road to Atlanta and winning 2 games is neat impossible to do. Brooklyn’s Deron Williams,Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez need to do all they can to stop this great Atlanta team as Well as a good bench performance.  Even though I’d love to see this series go longer I don’t have Brooklyn winning this crucial game tonight and they will go on to lose the series in 5 games.

Rebuilding Time For L.A.

“In a dark time, the eye begins too see,….”-Theodore Roethke. What does the mean? Personally i believe that when something is going wrong with someone or something you start to relize what you need to make it better. With this quote is a perfect example in the NBA, my favorite team the  Los Angeles Lakers. Take a look back a few years ago 2011 season and all before you have a all time dominant force of Kobe, Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum and just  great overall team that’s coming off 2 championships back to back and then are man handled by the Mavericks in the playoffs. Is the end of Kobe’s era coming to an end? For a second u thought but then they pick up Steve Nash and Dwight Howard to help Kobe but it wasn’t enough to realize they don’t play defense and that old age has caught up to Bryant. As well as Kobe’s Achilles injury and barley making the playoffs off of such a dominant last couple of decades the Lakers realize its time to rebuild. As such a dominant team from almost the start of the team being created with Jerry West, Elgin Baylor and Wilt Chamberlain as Well as Magic Johnson ,James worthy and all those guys up till Kobe and Shaq and then Pau and Kobe this team is a 16 time championship team That’s accustomed to winning. Now they have to open there eyes and realize how to rebuild in a young team and get better through time.

1/5/15 NBA Game of The Night

Tonight’s game to watch in the NBA is the Milwaukee Bucks vs. the Phoenix Suns. The Suns holding a 20-16 record go in to Milwaukee hope to record another win for the season. As the Bucks hope to stay an above .500 team. The Suns are a very athletic team with great guards in Eric Bledsoe, Isaiah Thomas and Goran Dragic. They also have the sky walking shooting guard Gerald Green as well as the Morris twins and a decent center in Miles Plumlee.  Now earlier in the season the Bucks won the game they played with the Suns on a buzzer beater to win the game. Also, in that game the Bucks had Jabari Parker for the 15 minutes he played before tearing his ACL.  The Bucks have a solid point guard and shooting guard in Brandon Knight and O.J. Mayo. As well as a great defensive presence with Larry Sanders at center. But Sanders is in fact questionable for this game because he has missed the last few games to personal problems. In my opinion the Sun will pull the win out on the road in Milwaukee because Sanders not playing will help out for the Suns guards to slash to the rim with less of a threat inside. As well as the guards of Phoenix being more athletic and able to contain Knight and Mayo

Are the (5-7) Cavs in “Trouble “?

As of yesterday the Cavaliers blew a huge lead on the Toronto Raptors last night who are the #1 team in the Eastern Conference bringing LeBron and his home town Cavs to two games under  .500. The last time James team has been under that mark was his rookie year in 2003 with the Cavaliers.  So the question is should Cleveland be worried or nervous about the rest of this regular season. The answer honestly is no there should be no worrying. This is a young team with a strong core in there big three in Kyrie, Kevin, and obviously the best player on the planet LeBron James. Not only the Cavaliers main there is strong but they have all the right pieces for a strong team with there role players and bench.  They have a young athletic shooting guard in Dion Waiters, a great shooter in Mike Miller and a excellent rebounder and defense man in Anderson Varejao. So the other question is how can a team of this caliber be struggling this badly.  Well let’s face it there all new to each other. It’s a new team with a new coach new face of the team from What was Kyrie to now LeBron. In my opinion this team is gonna come together and they will click with one another.  If we go back to LeBrons first year in Miami they had the same problem they were barely a  .500 team with a strong lineup.  The reason they struggled was there was no chemistry within them but they got use to each other and made the NBA Finals but lost and won two in a row after.  I will expect to see the Cavs start to click, make the playoffs and maybe even make the finals.  But if they do click and don’t make the finals they need to keep that lineup together and they will be successful.  There is no need for panic in Cleveland the Cavaliers will come together and be a dominant team. New teams like this need time to click before they are dominant in this league.

Cleveland Cavaliers Vs. Toronto Raptors

Game one of two tonight is the #1 seed in the east (10-2) Toronto Raptors up against the Big Three who were supposedly going to dominant the NBA and most likely win it all the (5-6) Cleveland Cavaliers. Now this is the first time LeBron James team has been under the  .500 mark for the season. Tonight to look forward to is LeBron taking control of this game as it would be a statement win for the Cavs’ to prove even though they are under  .500 that they are still a deadly team. In the game tonight there’s a lot to look for individual match up wise. A match up to look forward to is the ankle crushing, lights out shooter Kyrie Irving up against Kyle Lowry who is a great scorer. Irving who is putting up 21.9 points a game is a deadly player to guard and will be a true test of Lowry’s defense. But for Lowry a help is his excellent scoring because Kyrie is not a strong defender only averaging 1.5 steals a game,  but this lack of effort on defense could edge Lowry’s way. Although,  Lowry also is not the best defender either only averaging 1.2 steals a game. With both these guards not being strong defenders this Point Guard match up could go either way. Another big match up is Dion Waiters up against the athletic rising star DeMar DeRozan. Waiters is averaging 9.4 points a game is going to have his work cut out for him with DeRozan who is averaging 20.0 points a game who is not only a great scorer but a great defender averaging 1.8 steals a game. Even with DeRozans scoring Waiters is also a very strong defender averaging 1.6 steals a game. Another big factor in the game is who is going to stop LeBron James. LeBron will be defended by Terrance Ross who is averaging less than a steal and block a game. Ross is not gonna be a defensive presence for LeBrons size, physicality and quickness on the court. To go with that Kevin Loves presence down low scoring and rebounding will be too much for Patrick Patterson and Jonas Valanciunis. My opinion on this game is the Raptors won’t be able to contain LeBron and the Cavs will even to  .500 record.

Chicago Bulls Vs. Portland Trail Blazers

Tonight’s match up is the (8-3) Portland Trail Blazers hosting the (8-4) Chicago Bulls. In my opinion these are two hot teams going head to head witch will make for an exciting game. Now the main players to look at are the are the rising star Point Guard out of Weber State Damian Lillard. Lillard is a straight threat to any team he plays. Averaging 20.6 points a game and 6.6 assists a game he can score at will. Damian has scored 28,27, and 24 points in his as St three games as well as averaging 8.6 assists in the last three games. An absolute dominant all-around athletic point guard. This will have a big play in the game as the Chicago Bulls are without there elite point guard Derrick Rose. Rose who is having a rough year dealing with injuries to his Hamstring and his ankle is averaging a steady 18 points a game so that will be missed as the 2011 MVP will sit the bench tonight. Another main match up will be the post dominant big man LaMarcus Aldridge up against the defensive and scoring big man Joakim Noah. Noah is averaging 1.3 blocks a game witch doesn’t show for the shots he alters.  Combined with his blocks is a steady 8.4 points with a 10.3 rebounds per game. On the other hand LaMarcus is averaging 21.9 points a game as well as 8.0 rebounds a game. For tonight’s match up I believe the Trail Blazers dynamic duo of Lillard and Aldridge will be too much for the Roseless Bulls to help out on Lillard. To go with Aldriges spectacular post scoring will be to much for Noah and the Blazers will pull the “W” out tonight
